Courtney Love outside of Phillips auction house in Manhattan after the evening sale of contemporary art that tallied $79 million. Warhol’s “Four Marylins” sold for $38.2 million.

Courtney was there with art consultant Rachel Barrett. The singer was quoted saying “I am sad the Basquiat didn’t sell, Marilyn was a little overrated.” She declined to say whether she bought anything. “I collect sporadically and mostly women artists,” said the rocker, dressed in a skin-toned and skin-tight Roland Mouret dress. “Generally I bid by phone.”

Courtney Love is touring with Micko Larkin, Shawn Dailey and Scott Lipps. The band Starred will join her in some shows. Ginger Wildheart will join them in July.

Yesterday night, Courtney Love arrived at the Salt Lake City airport in Utah to attend the Sundance Film Festival. The singer is schedulled to perform at Star Bar Monday night.
